It is a little over two years since the passage of “TFTEA” (Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015) and USCBP is making great strides to work hand-in-hand with its partnering government agencies and the trade with the implementation of the regulatory framework to ensure a fair and competitive trade environment for American businesses and workers. New Presidential Executive orders concerning trade are being signed rapidly with little warning and requiring immediate attention. With the new Presidential administration brings changes within many agencies impacting international trade and certain marching orders have been given to streamline and modernize business processes to meet the demands of economic security, stability, and global frontiers. What does all of this mean for the trade?
