On January 27, 2020, derivative lists, Annex I and Annex II, were issued by the U.S. Department of Commerce following the January 24, 2020 Presidential Proclamation that will impose Section 232 duties on steel of 25% and aluminum of 10% on derivative products. The Presidential Proclamation can be viewed here.
Duties on steel and aluminum derivative products will be effective February 8, 2020 and will be applicable to all countries except Mexico, Canada, Australia, Brazil (steel only), and South Korea (steel only). These goods will be eligible for product exclusions and we encourage interested applicants to prepare documentation for exclusion requests.
