Theodore "Ted" Adkinson

Theodore “Ted” Adkinson is of counsel with Roberts & Kehagiaras LLP, bringing over 30 years of litigation experience, including more than 20 years specializing in maritime and international trade law. His practice areas include domestic and international transportation law, maritime law, and business law, with extensive experience in all aspects of litigation and appellate matters. Ted represents a wide range of clients, including vessel and yacht owners, terminal operators, trucking companies, and warehouse operators in both state and federal courts.

In recent representations, Ted has successfully secured a $4 million jury award for his client in a U.S. District Court breach of warranty claim involving a luxury yacht, which included a $2.375 million civil penalty for the yacht manufacturer’s willful refusal to honor its warranty. Additionally, he achieved a $1 million trial award in California State Court in a case involving an employee’s illegal kickback scheme.

A graduate of Colgate University with a B.A. in Philosophy and English, Ted earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in California, all District Courts in California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
