The COVID-19 outbreak is hitting the Port of Long Beach hard. Reported cargo volumes were nearly down by 23% in February over last year’s numbers for the same month. The extended factory closures and the slowdown of goods movement in China and other Asian countries in February due to the Lunar New Year and COVID-19 has resulted in shipping lines needing to cancel some sailings. Please join the Foreign Trade Association (FTA) as we partner with the Port of Long Beach and we hear from the Port of Long Beach Executive Director Mario Cordero as he updates members of the trade community on the next steps and what to expect.
